Montana Rifle Elk and Deer Hunts

We definitely have trophy class bulls in Montana and Idaho! Our Montana rifle elk hunts and or Idaho rifle elk hunts have a success rate of about 75% opportunity with an actual kill rate of 40%. Our success for rifle deer runs about 85%.
This average is based on the ability of the clients and their preferences. Some guys pass on anything less than a 6 or 7-point bull, others just plain miss! We are in a “brow tine bulls” only area. We find this to have greatly improved the quality of mature bulls. We have both whitetail and mule deer. The deer and the elk use the same terrain, so we are able to hunt both at the same time, with no need to go to another area. We have some very respectable bucks here, definitely Boone and Crocket class.

If you want to hunt bugling bull elk with a rifel, you need to come the first hunt is Idaho as we are still catching the tail end of the rut season during that time.
